Ushuaia Golf Club

Description of the Field
Field officially approved by the Argentine Golf Association.
Par 70, length 5900 yards.
At the “end of the world”, golf lovers will find a place where to practice their favorite sport. The course is situated at 4 miles from the city, on the way to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. The course counts with nine holes, two tees each one. The fairways are narrow, gently sloped, small greens which follow the sides of the Pipo river and west wind blowing, adding an extra difficulty to the players. The course presents a symbolic hole, the number six, par five, named “Hasha” which means “wind” in the native language of the area. Besides being pretty short, this hole in particular challenges the player’s skills due to its orientation. Since 1977, the club counts with the patronage of Roberto de Vicenzo, a famous and prize-winner Argentine golf player and a real legend for the loves of this sport.

This area, which extends along the east coast of the Island, receives every year numerous species of migratory coast birds.
Expeditions to the Antarctica
Taking advantage of the long days of the southern summer, you will explore extensive penguin colonies; you will be able to observe some of the big whales and seals resting on ice floes and you will be amazed at the extraordinary variety of forms, sizes and colors of the icebergs. Many birds will fly through the Antarctic sky, framed by high magnificent glaciers and cliffs falling like drops almost vertically in the sea, making up a unique experience.
